1. The University of Gothenburg International Scholarships

The University of Gothenburg in Sweden offer two year Masters Programme. These scholarships intended for fee-paying applicants, who have applied in the first admission round via university admission.

The number of scholarships are not specified. The main target of this scholarships program are citizens from outside EU/EEA and Switzerland and from countries in the OECD/DAC list. The scholarship include the complete tuition fees or only accommodation expense.

2. Swedish Institute Study Scholarships

The Swedish Higher Education Institutions and Swedish Universities provides scholarship to students from selected countries for full-time master’s level studies in Sweden. They provide Master’s Programme in different field of study.

Around 335 scholarships are available for this program. The main focus is to encourage students from South Africa and Syria to get Master’s Degree. The scholarship holder will receive tuition fees, living expenses of SEK 9,000 per month, insurance, and a one-time travel grant of SEK 15,000.  

3.KTH Tuition Fee Waiver for Non-EU students

This program offers tuition fee waiver to students from non-EU/EEA/EFTA countries who required to pay tuition fees. This program is hosted by KTH Royal Institute of technology in Sweden. The field of study includes eligible master’s programme offered at the university.

Each year around 30 candidate will receive this scholarship which are from non-EU/EEA/EFTA countries. The scholarships holder will receive their tuition fee waived for the first two years.

4. Uppsala IPK Scholarships for International Students

The Uppsala University in Sweden offer several scholarships for fee-paying students applying for Master’s programmes. One of these scholarship provider is the Uppsala IPK Scholarships. This program provides Master Degree to citizens of countries which are outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.

The scholarship includes the cost of tuition fee but not living expenses. Exact number of scholarships is not specified by university.

5. Chalmers IPOET Scholarships for International Students

The Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden fund scholarships to prospective fee-paying students. They provide all of the current Master’s Programme at Chalmers. The main target group of this program are citizens from non-EU/EEA countries.

The Chalmers offers around 50 IPOET scholarships. The scholarship holder will receive 75% reduction of the tuition fee for 2 years. If student perform good in first year they will receive increased scholarship reduction which covers 80% of the tuition fee during second and final years.

6. Lund University Global Scholarship

The Lund University in Sweden provides scholarship for Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree programme. This scholarship program is a selective, merit-based scholarship programme that recognized top academic students from outside the European Union (EU)/ European Economic Area (EEA).

The scholarship covers up to 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of tuition fee. Note that scholarship include only tuition fee but not living costs.

7. Mid Sweden University Tuition Fee Scholarship

The Mid Sweden University in Sweden provides scholarships for high performing students. The fields of study includes; Master in Tourism Studies, Business Administration, Marketing and Management, Political Sciences, Computer Engineering, Eco technology and Sustainable Development, Electronic Design. The target group of scholarship are students from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.

The scholarship holder will receive a fee waiver of 70,000 SEK or 125,000 SEK or 250,000 SEK for the tuition fee for the programme.

8. Guest Scholarship Programme for Post-doctoral Research in Sweden

Accredited academic institutions and universities in Sweden are working in Guest Scholarship Programme. They provides researchers with a PhD degree with an opportunity to conduct research. The field of study includes Agricultural Sciences, Natural Sciences, Technology, Environmental Science, Business and Social Sciences, Health and Medicine, etc. Any international students from the targeted countries like Cambodia, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia etc may be eligible for this scholarship.

Approximately twenty scholarships are available per academic year. The recipient of this scholarship will SEK 18000 per month and SEK 15,000 as a travel grants.

9. Guest Sweden Masters Scholarships for Developing Countries

The Guest Sweden Masters Scholarships program is hosted by the Accredited academic institutions and universities in Sweden and aims to promote democratic, economic and social development. Any eligible candidate who wants to undertake the master’s programme of; agriculture and forestry, environmental studies, natural sciences, democracy, education, engineering, health science, international law may receive this scholarship.

This scholarship program provides about 40 scholarships for the academic year. The scholarship holder will receive amount of SEK 80,000 per month.
